From the Other Side of the Frame
In response to http://sorceressblogs.blogspot.com/2006/04/lovers-await.html
On many a tired day's evening,
under many a starry night sky,
I have slipped into dreams ethereal
and have wafted, your door, by.
Down through the window, have shone upon me
your eyes lovely and vile;
A part of me danced and part but chanced
to drink of the nectarine smile.
You'd glide with the poise of angels,
Down, close to the side of me.
In our Lord's scheme, but thus is how
we both are meant to be.
In lyrical verses, you'd speak to me
of your vigil long, my dame,
Of poems of longing vainly addressed
to an empty photo frame.
